Personalized tumblers are the perfect gift, and making a permanent design requires a laser to remove the powder coating from the cup. We use graphic programs to make the design, then load to the laser using specific settings to remove the color leaving the silver metal underneath. The tumblers we stock are dishwasher safe; the designs won’t come off as they are permanently etched into the cup.

This video is an example of running a material test card. With every material, be it wood or slate or acrylic or drinkware, you first need to run a material test to see how the material reacts to different speeds and powers. Too little power, and the powder coating won’t be removed from the cup. Too much power, and the metal can be scorched from the laser. Speeds affect the process as well, as you need enough speed not to burn the material but not so much speed that you don’t get a clear imprint of the design. There can e quite a bit of trial and error involved in finding the right speed and power for each material. Even different colors react to different settings; black takes less power than white to get a clean image. Each item is made to achieve the best possible outcome of clarity and sharpness.

We take this process seriously to deliver the optimal product. This isn’t an operation run by huge machines but by humans with attention to detail.
